Dr. John W. Dingle is a native of St. Stephen, South Carolina and a graduate of South Carolina State University and Medical University of South Carolina College of Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Dingle spent four years in the Public Health Service in Pharr, Texas. While there, he served as the Dental Director for the Hidalgo County Health Care Corporation’s three dental clinics. He also completed a one-year residency in Hospital Dentistry at the Medical College of Virginia.
Dr. Dingle has been in private practice in Columbia, SC since 1989. The practice employs over thirty highly trained staff members. Dr. Dingle has a partner, Dr. Isaiah Davis and two Associate Dentists.
He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, The Congaree Medical, Dental & Pharmaceutical Association, South Carolina Dental Association, The American Dental Association and the South Carolina Academy of Advanced Implant Studies. Dr. Dingle also serves on the Board of the Salvation Army.
He is married to Dr. Peggy Toliver-Dingle who is a practicing Physician at Three Rivers Medical Associates in Columbia, SC. They have two children, one attending North Carolina A&T the other attending Hampton University.
Dr. Davis
Dr. Isaiah L. Davis is a native of Columbia, South Carolina and a graduate of the University of South Carolina and the MUSC College of Dentistry. He formerly served as Senior Assistant Dental Surgeon with the US Public Health Service. He also served as Director of Dental Services at Thomason General Hospital, Texas Tech University School of Medicine in El Paso, Texas.
He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, The Greater Columbia Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the Congaree Medical Dental Pharmaceutical Association. Dr. Davis is a fellow of the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Honor Academy.
Dr. Davis is a former chairman of Friends of MUSC Scholarship Alumni Committee, which provides funding for scholarships for minority students at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine. In 2011 Dr. Davis was one of 12 dentist in the US invited by the President of the American Dental Association to participate in the ADA Institute for Diversity in Leadership. This prestigious 12 month program of leadership training was led by faculty members from the renowned Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University.
Dr. Davis has been in private practice in Columbia, South Carolina since 1987. He is a member of Pine Grove AME Church where he serves as a Senior Steward and Trustee. He is married to Dr. Deborah J. Davis and they have two children; Dr. Melissa A. Davis and Dr. Isaiah Davis, Jr.
Dr. Anny Van Dam is a native of Caracas, Venezuela. After graduating from dental school in Venezuela, she came to the University of Pennsylvania to do the post-graduate Periodontics program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. After deciding to stay in Philadelphia, she earned a DMD from the University of Pennsylvania, where she also taught a clinic in Periodontics. She maintained a private practice specializing in Periodontics for 20 years in the Philadelphia area and has worked with the Davis and Dingle practice since she moved to Columbia in 2004.
Dr. Van Dam has extensive training in periodontal regeneration techniques, laser-assisted periodontal therapy, biopsies, bone grafting for ridge augmentation, periodontal surgery, and dental implant therapy, and has a special interest in treating periodontal causes for halitosis (breath odors).
She is a member of the American Academy of Periodontics and local dental study groups, among other professional and community activities.
