When one visits for tooth extraction, we already have a set of immediate dentures waiting for the patient. In some cases, a patient will leave with a new set of teeth with immediate dentures if the proper ones are not ready yet.
We use overdentures for patients who still have usable and savable teeth left in their mouth. We do not want to remove teeth that we can save and will place this denture over the remaining teeth. Overdentures give you new teeth without having to remove the other original teeth that are still functioning.
